Let There Be adidas UltraBOOST Light
It’s been many months since the adidas UltraBOOST 23 was first teased in 2022, and now adidas have made the official reveal, which includes a name update – introducing the adidas UltraBOOST 23, aka the UltraBOOST Light! Here, adi have done away with a number of tech developments – some of which are visible, some not. Most notably, at its core, you’ll find adi’s newest material: Light BOOST, which has been made 30 per cent lighter than previous iterations. Visibly, the surfaces of the midsoles are much smoother, resulting in a step away from the instantly recognisable pebbled texture. The design’s Linear Energy Point has also been reworked to optimise responsiveness, and breathable, lightweight Primeknit builds out the uppers.
Two colourways are currently available, including ‘Cloud White’ and ‘Core Black’. The latter is a celebratory colourway commemorating the 10th anniversary of BOOST technology. The colour palette is also a nod to the Energy BOOST – adi’s first-ever silhouette with the cushioned tech.
And now, it’s time to cop! The adidas UltraBOOST 23, aka the UltraBOOST Light, is priced at $190, and early access is available for adidas’ adiClub members right now. The general release is locked for March 3.
