Colourway Corral: White Cement
Michael Jordan rocked many great colourways on-court while building his reputation as basketball’s GOAT. When you’ve got a whole shoe range named after you, it makes sense that you’ll be bringing to drip to the arena night after night. One of the more memorable of his countless creps was the Air Jordan 3 ‘White Cement’, which MJ laced up the night he beat Dominique Wilkins in the 1988 All-Star Dunk Contest.
Officially dubbed White/Cement Grey, this legendary colour combination has now transcended basketball, becoming one of the most used colourways in Nike’s arsenal. Having been slapped on kicks such as the AJ4, SB Dunk and Air Jordan 1, we thought it would be rude not to curate a list of some of the best.
Air Jordan 3 ‘White Cement’
As mentioned from the top, these Air Jordan 3s were on MJ's feet when he famously defeated Dominique Wilkins in the 1988 All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk competition. That iconic moment elevated the Air Jordan 3 ‘White Cement’ so much that it ultimately transcended basketball and became a favourite for sneakerheads worldwide. Although originally releasing in 1988, they’ve made a number of returns: dropping in 1994, 2003, 2011, 2013 and 2018. Truly a timeless classic.
Air Jordan 4 ‘White Cement’
One year after MJ’s dunking heroics, the Air Jordan 4 silhouette dropped in four separate colourways, including the ‘White Cement’. A full decade later, in 1999, they made their way back onto shelves, before additional retros dropped in 2012 and 2016, scooped up by sneakerheads across the globe.
2002 Supreme x Nike SB Dunk ‘White Cement’
Deriving their inspiration from the Air Jordan 3, Supreme went ahead and blessed three pairs of Dunks with elephant print makeovers. Of course, it would have been rude not to deck out one pair in ‘White Cement’. Sadly, only 500 pairs made, so you can guess that the hype was insane!
2004 Air Jordan 19 Low ‘White Cement’
Dropping way back in 2004, the aggressive Air Jordan 19 Low has been cemented (pun intended) in history as one of the models to rock ‘White Cement’. Looking aggressive as ever, elephant print has been plastered on the mud guard.
2007 Air Jordan 3 ‘White Flip’
Chromed out, flipped, and looking as fresh as can be, the Air Jordan 3 ‘Flip’ boasts elephant print on the upper instead of the usual mudguards. The colour combination of White and Cement make the shoe pop, while the black hits work as an added touch of contrast.
2007/2017 Air Jordan Spiz’ike ‘White Cement’
First dropping in 2007, the Air Jordan Spiz’ike was one of the lucky ones that got blessed with ‘White Cement’. Brought back in 2017, we think it’s time for them to come back again soon. We can’t wait until 2027...
2009 Air Jordan Dub Zero ‘White Cement’
Back in the Summer of 2009, Jordan Brand decided to drop a slew of colourways of their OG hybrid model: the Dub Zero. Alongside a few blacked-out models, ‘White Cement’ was busted out in all its glory. Given laser-etched side panels, a speckled midsole, and detailing on the heel, we think it’s time Jordan Brand brought these back too!
2009 Nike SB P-Rod 2 ‘White Cement’
Two iconic colours on one shoe! Not only is the Nike SB P-Rod 2 blessed with ‘True Blue’ along the collar, it also rocks the ‘White Cement’ combination on its upper.
2010 Air Jordan 1 Phat Low ‘White Cement’
Another fusion of basketball and skate culture, the Air Jordan 1 Phat Low turned heads when it first hit the street. Having already been given a number of colour combinations, Team Swoosh would have been going bonkers if ‘White Cement’ wasn’t chucked into the mix.
2013 Air Jordan Son of Mars ‘White Cement’
Yet another Air Jordan decked out in ‘White Cement’. Given the usual white uppers and elephant print on the mudguards, these were a certified neck-breaker.
2014 Zoom Vapor Air Jordan 3 ‘White Cement’
Why should golfers have all the fun? Over the years, many tennis players have shown they know how to serve up a decent on-court flex. Combining two of the world’s greatest athletes – Michael Jordan and Roger Federer – the Zoom Vapor Air Jordan 3 was born. To celebrate this momentous occasion, Team Swoosh decked out the beast in the iconic ‘White Cement’.
2016 Nike Air Pressure ‘White Cement’
A retro basketball model, the Nike Air Pressure originally released back in 1989. In 2016 they were brought back unexpectedly. Donning the ‘White Cement’, the extremely high model broke necks in ‘89, and broke them even harder in 2016.

These days, we’re seeing a whole bunch of fusion golf shoes hitting the market. From Jordans to Air Max, these sporting crossovers are allowing golfers to flex hard on the course. First dropping in 2009, the True Flight derived inspiration from the Air Jordan 7. In 2017, Jordan Brand decided to bring it back in the classic ‘White Cement’ colour combination.

Slapped on an Air Jordan 1 Mid is a white upper complemented by a speckled cement midsole. Breaking necks when they first released, this was the perfect example of an iconic shoe being blessed with an iconic colourway.
