UPDATE: Nike SB have confirmed that the SB Dunk High 'Strawberry Cough' will arrive at select skate stores on October 22 and the SNKRS app on October 26.
Talk about a delayed (SB Dunk) high, right? Nike SB's SB Dunk High 'Strawberry Cough' was originally thought to be a 4/20 release all the way back in 2020, but its arrival was continuously pushed back – even past 4/20 in 2021 – leaving sneakerheads to think it may have gone up in smoke. However, a recent development indicates that the 'Strawberry Cough' will indeed be sparked up later in October.
Designer Todd Bratrud, the man responsible for a sack of weed-themed SB classics like the SB Dunk High 'Skunk,' the SB Dunk High 'Cheech & Chong' and the SB Dunk Mid 'White Widow' got back in his bag on the 'Strawberry Cough,' combining tone and texture to create a shoe that was half strawberry, half weed and undeniably smoke-infused, thanks to a literal coughing strawberry on its lateral heel. Other special details include shaggy suedes, shimmering satins, a special insole and even leather patterned to look like a strawberry!
