Update April 8, 2022: Following the initial batch of leaked imagery, @solesbyzay has shared a fresh new look at the upcoming froSkate x Nike SB Dunk High! Peep the images below and stay locked for updates.
Nike’s skateboarding division has a long history of collaborating with local skate shops, and in the past two years they’ve really picked up some speed. Leaks are constantly flying around, showing the next big linkup and how the local guys are gals are reinventing the iconic Nike SB Dunk in both High and Low form. Circling the rumour mill today are images of a fresh colab from Chicago’s froSkate and they’ve gone all-out with the details for their debut Dunk High.
Founded in 2019, froSkate is Chicago’s first skate collective to be centred around BIPOCs (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) and those who identify as TQGNCNB (transgender, queer, gender non-conforming or non-binary). froskate’s mission is to create an inclusive global community within skateboarding and bond with people around the world.
Their collaboration with Nike SB is loud and leaked imagery has come through courtesy of @prvt.selection. Starting from the inside out, the liner rocks a mismatched velvety quilted fabric, with alternate tones acting as a continued theme throughout. The only constant is the white leather base layer that’s been debossed with text reading ‘All Love’. Rounding it out is the toe box, which features heart shaped perforations.
No release details or official confirmation has come through for the froSkate x Nike SB Dunk High but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we hear anything.
