After years of flying the flag high and proud for the GEL-Quantum series by offering an unmatched assortment of colourways and limited editions, longtime ASICS advocates JD Sports are releasing another well-deserved exclusive. This GEL-Quantum 360 7 Knit duo is dubbed ‘Tokyo Neon’ and draws inspiration from the lights of ASICS’ Japanese capital to illuminate clean colourways that look just at home on the streets of Harajuku as they do the mezzanines of Highpoint.
The GEL-Quantum 360 7 Knit, the seventh generation Sportstyle silhouette from ASICS, has become something of a cult model, thanks to its omnipresence via JD Sports. It reprises its most popular and successful components – namely the full-length GEL cushioning system and FLYTEFOAM midsole carrier – while adding an updated knit upper. These additions allow for seamless construction (literally) and targeted support and ventilation, not to mention the unique look they create. Paired with welded Tiger Stripes, this is idiosyncratically the GEL-Quantum 360 7 Knit.
For JD Sports’ latest exclusive, the pairs recall some distinct features found on previous exclusive iterations and simultaneously retrofitted standout details. These two editions continue the model’s readiness for splatter marks, plus flipped and inverted colourways of mint/black and white/aqua mirror day ’n’ night looks. And, given the ‘Tokyo Neon’ nomenclature of this pack, that phrase is written out on the pull tabs in Japanese.
