Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Quantum LEVITRACK Ready to Roll
Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov continues to light things up in the sneakersphere, the long-time ASICS collaborator set to release the GEL-Quantum LEVITRACK in honour of the Tokyo Olympics.,
A sneaker reportedly ‘two years in the making’ (according to the 32-year-old designer), the GEL-Quantum LEVITRACK has been teased extensively via social media, the silhouette most recently glimpsed at Kiko’s Spring/Summer 2022 show.
Revolving around the central ideas of unity, teamwork and community, the collaboration will come in three neck-craning colourways: one red and white, another light blue and burgundy, and a third in black and yellow.
Belonging to a photo campaign shot by industry veteran Frank Lebon, each model is emblazoned by a large, classic ASICS logo on the uppers. Down below, semi-translucent, teeth-like outsoles somewhat resemble the classic Quantum series.
A stalwart of ASICS’ collaborative division, Kiko has previously worked on other high-level sneakers like the ASICS GEL-Kiril 2 and GEL-Sokat Infinity.
Look for a global launch of the Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS GEL-Quantum LEVITRACK in August.
In the meantime, make sure to check out Kiko’s meteoric rise through the fashion ranks.
