Rumour: The Nike Air 180 ‘Ultramarine’ Is Apparently Returning in 2023
The rumour mill could be ablaze with the unexpected but very welcome possibility that Nike are bringing back the Air 180 ‘Ultramarine’ OG in 2023. This whisper comes via Iceberg, a renowned Air Max collector previously featured in Sneaker Freaker, so there is some fair plausibility to the news.
The comments section seems to point toward a remastered version of the 180 that will feature a silhouette and detailing much closer to the 1991 original. This means a redesigned midsole – in particular, a larger Air unit and resculpted surrounding accent – and more accurate panelling proportions. The return of this OG colourway likely means other makeups are on the way, with the additional possibility of collaborations. However, a 2023 return for this model would be a strange one, seeing as it doesn’t fall on any anniversary milestones.
