The Nike Air Force 1 Remembers to Just Keep Swimming
Finding Nemo is undoubtedly one of Pixar’s greatest animations of the past two decades. Its iconic protagonists, Nemo, Dory, Marlin, and, of course, Bruce, are some of the funniest to swim the oceans. It feels like just yesterday that the movie hit the cinemas, but as one of Nike’s latest reminds everyone, it was actually released back in 2003...
Don’t worry – Nike aren’t letting this major 20th birthday milestone go by quietly, so they’re celebrating it the best way they know how: with a dedicated sneaker! The Swoosh have chosen to do just that, using the Air Force 1 silhouette as the canvas. A kid’s dedicated release, the pairs bring the clownfish species to life via its colourway and uppers. The overlays in orange and underlays in white depict the fish’s body, with further accenting coming via the white Swooshes outlined in black. Grey, speckled Nike Grind forms the outsoles, and cartoon clownfish graphics can be found on the heels, with the tongues also featuring specialised details.
There’s currently no release date set for the Nike Air Force 1 ‘Clownfish’, but the arrival of official images means that one won’t be too far off. Keep it locked to SF for updates.
