Nike Air Max 1 Crepe Hemp FD5088-200 Release Info

OG fans Nike outings are celebrating this year. Between the return of the Air Trainer 1 “Shima Shima” and the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Chicago”, there’s all kinds of heat that will be hitting the shelves again. Another re-release slated for 2022 is the Air Max 1 “Crepe Hemp”. Originally released in 2004, the colorway was teased this year and has now been officially revealed by Nike to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the first silhouette in the Air Max line.

The classic look is revisited with minor tweaks to its color palette. Listed as “Medium Brown/Foam-Mushroom-Chiffon,” this “Crepe Hemp” recreation uses a darker brown at the suede mudguard, but still offers the familiar mint blue Swooshes. However, those minty accents continue to the tongue, Air unit, and heel branding unlike the original pair. Various shades of brown continue to the upper which is made of leather and hemp burlap. Finally, a signature gum-colored crepe rubber outsole completes this remake.

While a release date for the Nike Air Max 1 “Crepe Hemp” has yet to be set, expect Nike and select retailers to list the pair for $180.

In other footwear news, an official preview of both AMBUSH x Nike Air Adjust Force colorways has been shared.
