Nike Air Max Pre-Day “Voodoo Doll” DQ5082-400
Valentine’s Day sneakers aren’t a new phenomenon, but they rarely highlight the downsides of love. Nike’s voodoo doll accessory collection, however, seems to be doing just that, using the Air Max Pre-Day for its latest statement.
Preceded by two pairs of the Nike Blazer Mid, the newly redone sneaker indulges in a patchwork-like ensemble on its upper. The seemingly random fabric and pattern arrangement covers everything from the toe box and spine to the titular detail of the Air Max, a removable voodoo doll, as the figure arrives with unrefined stitching and a mix of colors and prints. Two appliqué buttons on the side collar allow wearers to put on the accessory as they see fit, while the “love” embroidery on the heel ostensibly evokes the doll’s goal. Down below, the shoe’s predominantly blue outfit is ditched for a subtle color combo that borrows a brownish hue from the upper for its waffle-patterned tread.
Enjoy official images of the pair below and expect a Nike SNKRS launch soon.
In sneaker related news, the Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Georgetown” is set to release in the United States in April.
