Official Images: Nike SB Dunk High 'Medium Grey'

More than any other Nike subdivision, Nike SB love to pull their inspiration from a myriad of other Swoosh sources. We've seen SB Dunks inspired by Air Jordans, signature skate shoes that draw from Nike Running classics like the Air Zoom Spiridon and much more. The latest instalment in SB's commemorative lineage? The SB Dunk High 'Medium Grey', which apes its colour scheme from a memorable Nike ACG boot.

The boot in question is the ACG Super Dome, which was known for its two-tone grey colourway accented by shades of cool blue and hot flamingo pink. Though the SB Dunk High 'Medium Grey' doesn't use nearly as much blue or pink as the ACG Superdome, it does provide a clever nod to the boot by placing both shades on its tongue tag and insole while also working pink onto the heel tab and blue onto the midsole's contrast stitching. The rest of the shoe is split between both light and (you guessed it) medium grey tones.

According to Instagram Nike SB news page @nikesbornothing, plans for a US release on SNKRS have been scrapped – but the Nike SB Dunk High 'Medium Grey' will still be dropping at skate shops in the UK and the rest of Europe sometime in 2022.
