When it comes to Reebok’s iconic basketball sneakers, you may think of the Reebok Question and Answer or the Shaqnosis. While they are a constant for Reebok at this point, the Vector are set to switch things up by bringing back The Blast later this month – a basketball sneaker from 1996 not retroed since 2014.
Although not a signature sneaker, The Blast will forever be linked to former Lakers point guard Nick Van Exel. A part of the Mobius Collection from the mid-90s, the sneaker features a split two-tone look in Black and White with Red accenting seen throughout. A sunburst-like design element is utilised on the overlays, with Black featuring on the right side of each respective sneaker while White hits the left.
Reebok branding appears on the tongue and throughout the upper, and the heel comes equipped with a ring pull tab. The sunburst design extends down into the midsole, which also applies a Hexalite unit in the heel and a herringbone outsole to finish off the sneaker.
The Reebok The Blast drops on March 3, 2023, via Reebok.com and at select retailers for $150.
In other Reebok news, the Question returns in an ‘Orange Toe’ colourway for the first time.
