Colourway: Pigeon/Crow
Style Code: MSXRCTAM
Colourway: Pigeon/Crow
New York native Jeff Staple is never too far away from the headlines, and he's queued up another exciting collaborative project with a distinctive Japanese flavour! Staple is teaming up with legendary retailer atmos for a ‘Pigeon’ colourway of the New Balance X-Racer Utility.
Recently teased by both Staple and atmos founder Koji Hirofumi, the project makes use of the popular trail-inspired silhouette, which has seen a previous collaboration from Bodega earlier this year. Newly revealed official shots show off a colourway with Staple’s familiar ‘Pigeon’ scheme (as seen on his sought after 577), but changes things up slightly with some darker tones in the mix. The upper features black and dark grey suede, with some technical mesh in pink dressing the top portion. Additionally, the N-branded mid panel is done in a contrasting white-to-pink gradient. The left lateral rear section features Staple’s Pigeon motif, while the right side’s logo is blacked out, to represent a Japanese crow. Down below, there’s stylish speckled detailing on the midsole, with trail-ready tread hitting the outsole.
Now confirmed, the Jeff Staple x atmos x New Balance X-Racer Utility looks like it is getting released via a raffle on atmos Tokyo’s webstore on November 28. Entries are open now. We’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for any more retailers!
