The Freshest ‘Bred’ Colourways of All Time
We’ve been bakin’ ‘Bred’ ever since MJ first laid eyes on the Air Jordan 1 back in ‘85 and called it ‘the devil’s colours’. Consisting of black and red, the colourway was originally banned because it didn't conform to the NBA's uniform policy (Michael Jordan would later tell David Letterman it was because there wasn't 'any white in it'). Decades later, the legendary 'Bred' colourway continues to slide out of the oven so fresh it's downright demonic.

Nike Air Max 1
Honestly, you could put a ‘soul-destroying slate’ colour palette on this silhouette and it would still do damage. Although it was actually a Valentine's Day release in 2015 coined ‘The Ones You Love’, this ‘Bred’ still has us smacking our lips four years later.
Kyrie 5
The Nike Kyrie 5 has received a bunch of eye-watering colourways since its debut back in November. From the dazzling Concepts ‘Ikhet’ collaboration to the Odd Future link up, Kyrie’s signature continues to provide the unpredictable highlights reminiscent of his on-court game out in Boston. But it’s the ‘Bred’ colour palette that really burned retinas at Sneaker Freaker HQ. Ain’t nobody shake and bake the ‘Bred’ like Kyrie Irving. You can ,cop the Kyrie 5 'Bred' for $129.
Triple S
There’s not many sneakers that can claim the cultural influence of the Triple S. Dropping back in September 2017, the gargantuan sole quickly stomped across the sneakersphere, lining Balenciaga’s pockets and inspiring copycat designs across the globe. Regardless of how you feel about this provocative high fashion/sneaker mutation, the Balenciaga Triple S continues to reign on the four-digit sneaker market. Is rocking the OG Jordan 1 ‘Bred’ colourway a form of desecration? Probably, but that’s not to say it doesn’t look pretty damn fine. You can pick these up at SSENSE.
Air Jordan 4
With the Air Jordan 4 celebrating its 30th rotation of the sun this year, it’s hard not to get a little nostalgic. Debuting all the way back in 1989, Tinker Hatfield stuck wings on sneakers for an athlete that was already in flight. The Air Jordan 4 had some legendary colourways, but the ‘Bred’ is one we’ll always be baking in at Sneaker Freaker HQ. A retro is currently scheduled for May 11.
Yeezy BOOST 350 V2
One of the most polarising brands in the sneakersphere, the Yeezy brand nevertheless continues to go from strength to strength in 2019. Navigated by their mercurial leader Kanye West, Yeezy reported a 600% bump during Q4, a statistic largely prompted by the surge in 350 manufacturing. One of the more elusive colourways, the Yeezy BOOST 350 V2 ‘Bred’ debuted back in February 2017, and remains one of the most coveted releases in the Yeezy catalogue.
Air Jordan 11
Arguably one of the best designs in the Jordan catalogue, the Air Jordan 11 was wrapped in sturdy ballistic mesh and leather to take MJ all the way to the stars in Space Jam. The 11 doesn't get much better in 'Bred'.
