Nike Air Max 1 “Ironstone” DZ4494-100
Simultaneously appearing alongside the many Air Force 1 40th Anniversary offerings are a series of nods to Nike Air itself. Previously, we’ve seen direct homages to cushioning founder Marion “Frank” Rudy; and now, via this newly unveiled Air Max 1, the brand literally defines technology.
The tongue of the shoe serves as the page for said definition, which describes the materials and function of Nike Air. A clear Volt colored logo sits just below, matching only the branding on the insole. On the outside, embroidered Swooshes and Air Max – the latter of which is very slightly angled – are dressed in a much darker olive hue that stands out against the rest of the construction, whose mesh and suede parts are finished in respectively white and cream.
For a closer look at the Air Max 1-shaped tribute, check out the official images below. As of this writing, the release date is unknown, but it’s likely these will arrive on Nike.com and select retailers before the end of the year.
Separately, official images of the Two 18 Air Jordan 2 surfaced last week.
