The Nike Air Max 1 seems to be taking a redemption run in 2023 after a relatively quiet 35th anniversary in 2022. That’s based on this upcoming crazy colourway that stretches the colour and material permutations of the iconic visible Air shoe, incorporating animal prints, interesting textiles and striking hues.

Dubbed the ‘Tiger Swoosh’ in some pockets of the internet because of its namesake logo, this AM1 also exhibits other animalistic tendencies via cow-like splatter on the mudguard. These leather and suede elements are met by red paisley print canvas on the heel panel and tonal white floral fabric on the toe box. For good measure, velvet ensconces the laces, while smooth nylon takes over the lining.

The stark white-and-black combo is broken up by the above parts, and there’s also additional colour via the light blue outsole and creamy midsole. Even the Air unit is highlighted in amber for extra contrast.
