Crepe-soled sneakers have been a sporadic, seemingly unintentional trend over the past few weeks following the reveal of the latest Kith x adidas collection. Now, Nike are set to release their latest Crepe-adorned silhouette in the form of an Air Max 1. This won’t be the first time the legendary AM1 gets blessed with a new outsole makeover. Last year, Team Swoosh dug into their archive to retro the ‘Hemp’ from circa 2004.
Nike’s latest has been dubbed simply ‘Crepe’ and rocks a crisp, triple-threat combo of Soft Grey/Neutral Grey/Thunder Grey. The model is, of course, constructed using premium materials and features a smooth-textile base alongside rich suede overlays and a complementary cream midsole. An interesting addition is the white leather Swooshes on the lateral and medial.
